Methods In April 2016, field observation and key person interview were conducted in 7 TB hospitals in urban area of Beijing, and a self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among medical staff who were on duty in the survey days. Results Five hospitals (71%) had no separated sputum collection room, 3 hospitals (43%) had no independent waiting room; 6 hospitals (86%) used natural ventilation system. 60% of medical staff wore no N95 masks in bronchoscope examination because no N95 masks were supplied by hospitals. Conclusion Infection control had been conducted in most TB hospitals in Beijing. However problems still existed, it is necessary to strengthen the infection control by improving hospitals' infrastructure and doctors' awareness of infection control to reduce the risk of TB spread.
