人体细胞膜跨膜蛋白丝氨酸整合因子3和5的抗艾滋病毒作用

Inhibition of HIV-1 by SERINC3 and SERINC5

  • 摘要: 艾滋病病毒(HIV-1)中的Nef蛋白具有重要的维持患者病毒高载量、加快疾病进展、下调CD4、主要组织相容性复合物(MHC)等多种分子,增强病毒的复制能力和感染性等多种功能。然而,20多年来,Nef蛋白增加病毒感染性的机制并不清楚。最近的进展表明,人体细胞膜跨膜蛋白丝氨酸整合因子3和5(serine incorporator 3,SERINC3 and SERINC5)具有重要的抗病毒作用,而HIV-1编码Nef蛋白拮抗这一作用。

     

    Abstract: HIV-1 Nef protein has multifunctions which can keep high viral load in patients' plasma, accelerate AIDS progression, down-regulate crucial cell surface molecules, such as CD4, major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules, and enhance viral growth and infectivity. However, during the past two decades, the mechanism underlying the enhancement of viral growth and infectivity by Nef protein was unknown. Recently, host transmembrane proteins SERINC3 and SERINC5 (serine incorporator 3 and 5) were identified to be important host restriction factors against HIV-1. On the contrary, HIV-1 Nef protein antagonizes SERINC3 and SERINC5.
