Abstract: Ojective The investigation was conduced to gain a better understanding of missing report on the notifiable diseases in non-disease surveillance points in henan Provine and provide scientific data for disease prevention and control. Methods Stratified cluster sampling was used to investigate the total cases(including suspected cases)of all notifiable diseases in two villages and towns of a county in the west of Henan Province in 2003 Results The rate of missing report on all notifiable diseases was 85.67％，and by calculation the corrected report incidence of infectous diseases in henan Province at the same peri od last year was l3441／100，000，6.98 times of the repoted incidence.14 nolifiable diseases were detect ed，including epidemic parotitis，bacterial dysentery，varicella，hepatitis A brucellosis，meseales，puhnonary tuberculosis and hepatitis B，etc.The missing cases of epidemic parotitis were 107，with an unreported incidence of 98.17％：the missing cases of bacterial dysentery were 92，and unreported incidence of 98.92％.Condusion Currently，the rate of missing report on infections diseases in non-disease surveil lance points in henan Province is alarmingly high. The management of report system of infectious disease shonld be strengthened，especially promoting awareness and consciousness of rural doctors in reporting no fifiable diseases.
