Abstract: Objective The study was made to analyze the problem of losing report cards when making statistics report forms of epidemic situation based on outbreak dates in order to find a practicable solution．Methods Analysis was made with the data of statistics report form of the infectious diseases of each month based on the outbreak dates from 2000 to 2004 and the data of the report cards of notifiable diseasess from 2004 to 2005．Results It was found the data of some report cards of the infectious diseases didn't covered in the report forms made based on out-break dates because of statistics deadline set by the software and unreasonable statistics rules，and statistics bias of time distribution occurred in the report forms of epidemic situation of notifiable diseases in recent years．Conclusion The software of direct network reporting should be modified and improved properly allowing accurate reporting of actual time distribution of epidemic out-breaks．
