Abstract: Objective The study was designed tO understand the situation of failure to report cases of infectious disease among village people．Methods "Scheme for investigation on failure to report cases of infectious disease among residents in Zhejiang Province"was consulted．Results A total of 12 666 people from 5 villages and towns were investigated，and 67 people were diagnosed with infectious disease，with 12 cases omitted，and 17 people were suspected with infectious disease，and all the 17 cases were omitted．The total number of omitted cases for report was 29，which was 34．52％ of the total cases number．The incidence rate reported by hospitals Was 434.23/lakh，which was corrected to 663.19/lakh．Conclusion Propaganda should be continued and work instruction be strengthened SO that failure to report cases of infectious disease may be avoided to a certain degree．
