Abstract: Objective The present study was designed to get an insight into the epidemiological characteristics and investigate the baseline data about epidemiology of hand-foot-mouth disease．Methods Based on the requirement of supervision program of hand-foot-mouth disease, surveil-lance and report was done by national disease supervision information management system．Results It was found hand-foot-mouth disease is one of infectious diseases with relative high incidence．The incidence of Children aged 5 and less than 5 was higher than 1000/10 and those who stay at nursery and kindergarten were susceptible to the disease，with obvious peak season in summer．Conclusion National Disease Supervision Information Management System is an effective Work-Platform of disease surveillance to make surveillance in non-notifiable infectious diseases in local area rapidly and to conclude the epidemiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease in Weihai city．
