Abstract: Objective　The study was conducted to evaluate the influence of an information system based on public health software modules on public health and hospital management. Methods　Based on computer databases and network technology, public health information collection software was integrated into clinics and residency workstations; and data analysis and surveillance software was installed in departments of hospital management, whereby the reporting, surveillance and early warning of hospital and public health?鄄related information was established. Results　The efficiency and quality of the collection of public health?鄄related information was effectively improved through the application of relevant software modules responsible for the reporting of public health incidents associated with infectious diseases, hospital infection, fever clinics, gastro?鄄intestinal clinics, occupational poisoning, chronic diseases and death cause. Conclusion　The establishment of a hospital information system based on public health software modules can effectively improve the efficiency of collecting public health information, which enables timely and proper response to public health emergencies and enhances the quality of public health management.
