Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the serotype and drug resistance of IShigella/I circulated in Wenzhou. MethodsBiochemical identification, serotyping and drug susceptibility test were conducted for the clinical isolates of Shigella strains. ResultsAmong 116 strains of Shigella isolated, 28 strains were IShigella sonnei /I(24.1%), 80 strains were Shigella flexneri(68.9%), including 4 straims of variant of IShigella flexneri/I (3.5%), 7 strains were Shigella dysenteriae(6.0%), 1 strain was Shigella boydii(0.9%). Shigella sonnei was sensitive to following antibiotics: fluoroquinolones (100%) and cephaloglycine and cephalexin (92.9%), but was highly resistant to cotrimoxazole, nalidixic acid and ampicillin. For IShigella flexneri,/I the sensitive rates to norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, moxifloxacin, lomefloxacin and levofloxacin were about 80%, the sensitive rates to cephaloglycine and cephalexin were 97%, but the sensitive rate to cefotamine was only 22.3%. Shigella boydii was highly drug resistant, which was only sensitive to imipenem and meropenem. ConclusionThe predominate strains to cause Shigella infection in Wenzhou were Shigella flexneri and IShigella sonnei,of Shigella flexneri/I, serotype 4c was predominated, followed by 2a and 2b. The resistant rates of Shigella flexneri to all antibiotics were on the increase and the drug resistant strain had emerged, which should be pay more attention to.
