Development and application of online bioinformatics analysis system for pathogenic microorganism

  • 摘要: 目的 基于浏览器/服务器模式构建微生物在线生物信息分析系统,应用于传染病预防控制工作。 方法 将目前在传染病病原微生物研究和传染病分子诊断、溯源中常用的基于客户端/服务器模式的一些开源的或免费提供使用的分析软件,采用远程桌面、分布式处理等"云计算"技术方案,构建成不需要在本地安装,以浏览器/服务器模式直接通过浏览器以点鼠标的方式使用的微生物在线生物信息分析系统。 结果 构建了包含引物设计、序列比对和进化树构建、数据统计、图形展示四类共15种常用生物信息分析功能的微生物在线生物信息分析系统,实现了通过浏览器进行病原微生物序列数据在线分析及疫情溯源。 结论 通过构建基于浏览器/服务器模式的微生物在线生物信息分析系统,可为疾病预防控制工作者提供方便快捷的生物信息分析服务,加快病原微生物序列数据的深度挖掘和疫情溯源,提高应对突发疫情的反应速度。

     

    Abstract: Objective To establish an online bioinformatics analysis system based on browser/server model and apply it in communicable disease control and prevention. Methods We collected 15 client/server model bioinformatics software widely used in pathogenic microorganism research and molecular diagnosis of communicable disease to establish a bioinformatics analysis system that require no installation of software on user’s computer and could be used on line through internet browser. Results An online analysis system, including 4 groups of software used for primer design, sequence alignment, phylogenetic tree building, data statistics and graph construction, was developed and applied. Conclusion This online bioinformatics analysis system can provide more convenient and rapid bioinformatics service for researchers working in communicable disease control and prevention, speed up the analysis of pathogenic microorganism sequence data and infectious source tracing as well as improve the response to public health emergency.
