Abstract: A worker in a AIDS screening laboratory was occupationally exposed to HIV, HIV infection was excluded due to the negative results of five HIV1+2-antibody detections. This case indicated that it is necessary to conduct the comprehensive and systematic training on biosafety and occupational protection among medical workers, especially among the workers in HIV detection laboratory, because some of them had lower educational level and poor awareness of medical knowledge.
