Abstract: Objective To understand the AIDS related knowledge awareness, high-risk behavior, intervention services in men who have sex with men(MSM) in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, and provide scientific evidence for the prevention and control of AIDS.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among the MSM recruited through snow ball sampling, and blood samples were taken from them for serological detection.Results The valid questionnaires and blood samples were collected from 106 MSM, The AIDS related knowledge awareness was 75.5%. The differences in AIDS related knowledge awareness among the MSM with different age, different marital status, different living areas and different education levels were statistical significant(P0.05). Up to 92.5% of MSM had anal homosexual behaviors. 44.9% of MSM used no condoms at anal homosexual behaviors. The positive rate of HIV and syphilis antibodies were 8.5%(95% CI:4.0%-12.0%) and 3.8%(95% CI:1.0%-7.0%) respectively.Conclusion The AIDS related knowledge awareness was low among MSM in Huzhou, and the condom use rate was low among them too. The health education and behavior intervention should be strengthened among MSM to reduce risk of HIV infection or sexually transmitted diseases.
