Abstract: Objective　The present study was conducted to establish a comprehensive network-based chronic disease reporting and management system, object-oriented network reporting and management technology and templates were developed based on the results of recent studies on the reporting patterns to contribute advanced software development technologies to chronic disease reporting. Methods　The system was designed based on B/S Framework and advanced. NET technology. Results　The chronic disease network reporting system was capable of handling considerable and diverse cases, accurately and promptly. Conclusion　The standardized development process and specified manual of this user-friendly system has guaranteed its extensive application. Currently, it is playing a role in controlling Tianjins chronic diseases.
