An Observation on 3 years Immunological Effect of Recombinant Hepatitis B Vaccine in Infants

  • infants were radomly divided into two groups; groupA was inoculated in 0,1,2month after birth, group B in 0,1,6 months after birth.High fever reaction (37.8C) was occurred in only one infant in whole objectives. There was no severe adverse reaction such as allergy, fever, edema in the remained infants. There was no significant difference of positive rates of anti-HBs antibody between two groups at 3,7,12,24 and 36 months after immunization. But the mean geometic titer (GMT) of anti-HBs at the 3 months after Ist dose immumization in group A was significantly higher than that in groupB(P<0.001).The GMT of anti-Hbs was reached to the peak in 7 months immunization and those high level of anti-HBs positive rates and GMT of anti -HBs were maintained untill to 36 months post vaccination in both two groups. Also, there was no significant difference of either the anti-HBs positive rate or the GMT of anti-HBs between these two groups.Due to the advantage of shorter time for antibody producition, the authors suggested that people had better to choice the group A scheme.
