HGV and TTV Infection were Not The Major Causes of Hepatitis Non-A Non-E in China

  • Serum samples of six hundred and forty four persons were detected for HGV RNA and TTV DNA using PCR. The positive rates of HGV RNA and TTV DNA were 0.9% and 7%-12% respectively. Among the patients with hepatitis Non-A Non-E, the positive rates of HGV RNA and TTV DNA were 9.7% and 28.1% respectively. So, HGV and TTV infections were not the major causes of hepatitis Non-A Non-E in China.
