Infection of Diseases Transmitted Through Blood of Venous Drug Addicts

  • Objective To explore the infection status of diseases transmitted through blood of venous drug addicts in Wenzhou City. Methods Collecting blood sample of venous addicts to separate serum and test TTV by using semi-nidi PCR; Using ELISA to test anti-HCV, HBsAg,anti-HBs, HBeAg, anti-Hbe, anti-HBc, etc. Results Total of 306 cases were tested, the positive rates of TTV, anti-HCV, HBsAg, anti-HBs, HBeAg, anti-Hbe and anti-HBc were 7.52%, 42.48%,19.61%,44.12%,7.19%,7.84% and 41.5%, respectively. There were 226 cases with one or more than one positive of the five indicators of Hepatitis B,and the positive rate was 73.86%. The concurrent positive rate of HCV,TTV and HBV was high, and there was no remarkablely difference for TTV,HCV and HBV infection rate of different blood types of drug addincts. Conclusions The venous drug addicts were high-risk population for diseases transmitted through blood, several diseases could come thogether or overlap one another for these people. Joint use of non-disin-fected syringe could bring cross infection, maybe it was the main cause for drug addicts catching these dis-eases. So control measures should be taken to reduce the frequency of diseases infection among drug addicts.
