Typing of Brucella Isolates by Repetitive Element Sequence-based Polymerase Chain Reaction

  • Objective This study was to explore the tyPing method of the genus brucella with the molecular biologY classification.Methods Representative strains of all kinds of Brucella were applied as references.When Rep—PCR was utilizcd for the tyPing of typical and atypical Bmcella strains and vaccine strains which had been isolated in China.Results By using Rep-PCR method.The detection and identification of Brucella was obtained not only in the genus level,but also under the fact that 107 reference strains and localized epidemic strains in China and overseas were able to divided into 8 groups.Conclusion Rep-PCR could be used for the typing of the Brucella strains as well as the identification of typical and atypical Brucella.SO as to make up for the flaws of the traditional classification methods for Brucella.
