Analysis of the Relationship Between Trace Elements in Children's Hair and the Nutritional Status in the Railway District of Linfen

  • Objective This study WaS to find out the contents of the trace elements in children's hair in the Railway District of Linfen. And to diSCUSS the relationship with children'S nutritional status. Methods The contents of the five elements,Fe,Zn,Cu,Pb,and Se,in 325 children were identified by the Atomic Absorption.Meanwhile.Their nutritional status were evaluated. Results A1l contents of the five trace elements were among the normal reference values and were in the balante.By compar-ing the gender,it was found that the Fe content of the girls was a little bit lower than that of the boys ((PPP>0.05),while the contents of Fe and Cu in the normal group were lower than those of overweight group and adiposity group (P<0.05).Conclusion The in-fluence of the trace elements on the development of the child'S body and mind should not be underes-timated.Balanced foods are needed in order to maintain the balalice of the trace elements.
