Analysis on epidemic situation of notifiable communicable diseases in Zhongyuan district of Zhengzhou in 2005

Objective The present study was conducted to gain insight into the characteristics of communicable diseases in Zhongyuan District of Zhengzhou City and provide a scientific basis for making up strategies for the prevention and control of communicable diseases．Methods Analysis was conducted on normal data of epidemic situation from notifiable communicable disease report system in Zhongyuan District，Zhengzhou in 2005．Results In 2005，totaled 5175 cases in 19 categories with Type B and C of communicable disease were reported in Zhongyuan District，Zhengzhou with an incidence rate of 834.73/lakh．No Type A communicable disease founded．Communicable diseases were mainly composed of intestine infectious disease，blood infectious disease and STD．Conclusion Prevention and control in intestine infectious disease．Blood infectious disease and STD are the key and difficult points in the prevention and control in the future．Surveillance should be reinforced on the control of virus hepatitis，bacillary dysentery and tuberculosis．
