Methods and application of injury surveillance system quality assessment

  • As a major public health hazard, injury has brought great loss throughout the world. Therefore, injury surveillance, the basis for development of long-term injury prevention and control programs, are globally valued. Since injury surveillance systems have been set up in many countries, it is of particular importance for assessing the quality of these establishments. This paper summarizes the current methods of injury surveillance system quality assessment and the corresponding application to provide supportive data for the development of injury surveillance system in China.
