Survey of a hepatitis A outbreak

To identify the risk factors to cause the hepatitis outbreak, case survey was conducted for all cases and case control study was performed with healthy people as control group. Totally 36 cases were reported with the attack rate of 63.54/lakh. The main risk factor was the consumption of well water contaminated by pathogens. It is necessary to strengthen health education to increase the people's health knowledge awareness and prevent the outbreak of the diseases caused by enteric infection.
