Meta analysis on antibody positive conversion rate of domestic and imported mumps vaccines

  • Objective To compare the antibody positive conversion rate between domestic mumps vaccine and imported mumps vaccine to evaluate their immunogenicity. Methods The literatures about antibody conversion rate comparison of domestic and imported mumps vaccines were searched from PubMed, China Biology Medicine Disc, China National Knowledge Infrastructure database and Wanfang database to conduct a meta-analysis by using RevMan 5.0 software. Results Eight related papers were selected for the analysis and the result indicated that the difference in positive conversation rate after vaccination of domestic and imported mumps vaccines was not statistical significant (RR=0.97,95% CI: 0.92-1.03, Z=1.03, P=0.30), and the sub-group analysis showed that both domestic monovalent mumps vaccine and imported MMR vaccine induced positive conversion rates and domestic MMR vaccine and imported MMR vaccine induced positive conversion rates had no statistical significant differences(RR=0.99,95% CI: 0.92-1.05,Z=0.41, P=0.68; RR=0.96,95% CI: 0.90-1.04,Z=1.02,P=0.31). Conclusion There is no difference between domestic mumps vaccine and imported mumps vaccine in immunogenicity, and they all have satisfactory immune effect.
