Survey of a bacillary dysentery outbreak in primary school in Sichuan, 2013

  • On 3, April 2013, an outbreak of bacillary dysentery occurred in a primary school in Yanjiang district of Ziyang, Sichuan province. As of 5 April. 265 cases were reported. And 264 cases were students, the attack rate in students was 34% (264/767). The epidemiological survey indicated that the cause of the outbreak might be the contamination of lunch food with pathogen on 1 and 2 April.
