Abstract:
Objective To analyze the cross regional medical treatment seeking of hepatitis B patients in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region(Guangxi) from 2015 to 2024, and provide evidence for hepatitis B prevention and control in Guangxi.
Methods The information of the hepatitis B cases the hospitals in Guangxi from 2015 to 2024 were collected from China Disease Prevention and Control Information System. Software R4.5.2 was used for data analysis.
Results In Guangxi, the proportion of hepatitis B patients seeking medical treatment in Guangxi was 96.37%. Specifically, the rates of patients receiving treatment in local were relatively high in Nanning (97.28%), Guilin (96.54%), Liuzhou (96.48%), and Wuzhou (96.04%), while the rate was lowest in Laibin (63.03%). The proportion of hepatitis B patients seeking medical treatment in other areas in Guangxi was 11.23%. The inflow of hepatitis B cases exceeded the outflow in Nanning, Liuzhou, Wuzhou, Guilin, and Qinzhou. The proportion of the hepatitis patients seeking medical treatment in grade III hospitals in other areas in Guangxi accounted for 91.60%, this proportion was higher than that of the patients choosing local grade III hospitals (61.49%), the difference was significant (χ2= 28418.976, P<0.001). Additionally, the proportion the patients seeking medical treatment in general hospitals in other areas accounted for 80.32%, but the proportion of the patients choosing local general hospitals was 72.20%, the difference was significant (χ2=2396.257, P<0.001). Guangdong was the main province where hepatitis B patients in Guangxi usually went to seek medical treatment, the patients who went to Guangdong for treatment accounted for 83.19% of the all patients seeking medical care in other provinces.
Conclusion Hepatitis B patients seeking medical care in other areas in Guangxi usually went to Nanning, Liuzhou, Wuzhou, Guilin, and Qinzhou. Guangdong was the main province where hepatitis B patients in Guangxi usually went to seek medical care. They usually went to grade III hospitals.
