Progress on research of genomics of group A Streptococcus

Group A Streptococcus(GAS)is one of the important human pathogen which can cause a variety of diseases. With the rapid development of genomic sequencing technology, more than ten complete genome sequences of GAS strains with different diseases have been determined to enhance the knowledge of molecular pathogenesis of this important pathogen. The paper summarizes the progress on the research of genomics of group A Streptococcus in recent ten years.
