Abstract: Objective This study was designed to analyze the visiting rate，confirmed diagnostic rate and the tracking readiness rate of network direct report system in the city of Changchun city of 2003 and 2004 SO as to explore the effectiveness of control strategies which primarily aimed at improving the detective rate of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis．Methods Statistical analysis was utilized in terms of visiting patients in chaoyang prevention and cure research institute of tu-berculosis in changchun city and those detected by network direct report system in general hospi-tals．Results The registration rate of positive smear among the newly infected ascended from 24.75/lakh of 2003 to 42.65/lakh of 2004 after tuberculosis control project had been implemented, with a rise of 17.9/lakh；Since the research program of detection model for patients with tuberculo-sis in Chaoyang district was founded in 2004．There has been 274 cases of new onset with positive smear，showing an increase of cases compared with the previous year．Conclusion By strengthen-ing the triple coordination between the prevention and cure research institute of tuberculosis，gener-al hospitals and official departments for sanitation，individual function will be exploited sufficiently．Besides，improving the visiting rate，confimed diagnostic rate and the tracking readiness rate of direct network direct report system are is the most effective pathway to better prevention and cure work treatment against tuberculosis．
