广东省东莞市首例W135群流行性脑脊髓膜炎死亡病例调查和应对

Investigation and response on the first death case of Neisseria meningitidis W135 infection in Dongguan, Guangdong

摘要: 2015年5月, 广东省东莞市出现首例W135群流行性脑脊髓膜炎死亡病例。患者表现为高热、皮肤瘀点、瘀斑、弥漫性血管内凝血, 经救治无效死亡。从血标本检出1株W135群脑膜炎奈瑟菌(Nm), 从密切接触者咽拭子标本中检出7株W135群Nm, 密切接触者带菌率为12.5%(7/56), 8株W135群Nm序列型同为ST-11型, 提示疫情在病例所在车间内造成局部传播。

Abstract: In May 2015, the first death case of Neisseria meningitidis W135 infection occurred in Dongguan, Guangdong province. The clinical symptoms of the case included high fever, skin petechiae and diffuse intravascular coagulation. One strain of N. meningitidis W135 was isolated from the blood sample of the case. Seven strains of N. meningitidis W135 were isolated from the throat swabs of the close contacts. The carriage rate was 12.5% in the close contacts(7/56), The 8 strains of N. meningitidis W135 belonged to ST-11, suggesting the local transmission had occured.
