Abstract:
Tuberculosis remains a public health issue that threatens human well-being. Although most of countries have established tuberculosis surveillance systems, there are large gaps between countries regarding system construction, management, and data reporting quality. Our study described the profile, content and reporting process of tuberculosis surveillance systems in the World Health Organization, Europe, United States, Japan, Australia and China, aiming to provide references for the construction and improvement of tuberculosis surveillance systems, and for prevention and control of the disease at global and national level.l.
