Abstract:
Objective To analyze the morbidity and mortality of cardio/cerebrovascular disease in residents in Jingmen, Hubei province, in 2022, and provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of cardio/cerebrovascular disease and the development of relevant policies.
Methods The diagnosis reports of cardio/cerebrovascular disease in residents aged >18 years in Jingmen in 2022 were used as source of information, including cases’ sex, birth date, disease diagnosis. diagnosis date, death cause and death date, and Excel 2007 and SPSS 25.0 were used for statistical analysis.
Results In 2022, a total of 1338 cases of cardio/cerebrovascular disease were registered and reported in Jingzhou, the incidence rate was 401.49/100000. The reported incidence rate was 432.09/100000 in men and 369.15/100000 in women, the difference was significant (χ2=4.427, P<0.05). The overall incidence rate increased with age (χ2=47.824, P<0.05). A total of 600 deaths due to cardio/cerebrovascular diseases were recorded, the mortality rate was 180.04/100,000. The mortality rate was higher in men than in women in all age groups (P<0.05). The main causes of cardio/cerebrovascular disease deaths were stroke (including cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, unclassified stroke, and subarachnoid hemorrhage) and acute myocardial infarction. The mortality rates of stroke (122.04/100000) and acute myocardial infarction (79.41/100000) were significantly higher in men than in women (93.21/100 000, 64.25/100 000), the differences were not significant. (all P>0.05)
Conclusion The incidence of cardio/cerebrovascular disease was high in Jingmen, indicating that it is important to strengthen the prevention and control of cardio/cerebrovascular disease, condcut tertiary prevention well in order to reduce the mortality of cardio/cerebrovascular disease and promote people’s health.
