Abstract: Objective The present study was conducted to understand the status quo of the knowledge about and behaviors of AIDS prevention and control of unlicensed prostitutes in the entertainment establishments in the city of Lishui．In order to provide a scientific basis for the interventions with AIDS Methods A questionnaire was answered by 140 unlicensed pmslimtes selected in the entertainment establishments in the city of Lishui Results Of the 140 unlicensed prostitutes surveyed．The total rate of AIDS knowledge was 58.5％．With the total rate of knowledge about routes of AIDS transmission being 60.1％ Based on the answers those who used condom in the last sexual Intercourse with a whoremaster accounted for 86.1％ and those who used condom every time they had sex with their clients in the previous three months constituted 68.6％ Conclusion Education on the prevention and control of AIDS should be further strengthened to increase AIDS knowledge rate Emphasis should be placed on the raising the rate of condom Use in the interventions．
