Abstract:
In september 2008, a denger fever epidemic occurred in Jinhua, Zhejiang, with 2 cases of denger fever being found. The two cases had been to Bangladesh together before the onset of the disease, where they had mosquito bite. The clinical symptoms included fever, skin rash, muscular soreness and orbital pain or headache and decreased white cell counts. The dengue-specific IgM antibody was positive in acute phase and 4 fold increase of IgG antibodies was observed in convalescence phase for 2 patients. Because of timely treatment and effective control measures, the two cases were cured, no secondary cases occurred, and epidemic was controlled effectively.
