Abstract: Objective To analyze the life quality of drug users and influencing factors under two drug rehabilitation modes in Wenzhou of Zhejiang province, and provide evidence for developing health service measures to improve drug users' life quality. Methods A total of 199 drug users from methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) clinics and 207 drug users from compulsory drug rehabilitation centers in Wenzhou were investigated respectively by usingQuality of Life for Drug Addicts (QOL-DA) and self-made questionnaire, the influencing factors to quality of life were analyzed by using multiple linear regression model. Results There were significant differences in age, household register, marital status, times of drug use, drug type, drug use way, times of rehabilitation, duration of current drug rehabilitation and drug use related diseases between drug users from MMT clinics and drug users from compulsory drug rehabilitation centers (P0.05). There was no significant difference in overall life quality between two group drug users. The score of withdrawal syndrome and toxic effects of drug users from MMT clinics was lower, but the score of social support and operational capability was higher in drug users from MMT clinics was lower than drug users from compulsory detoxification institutions (P0.05). Drug use related diseases, times of drug use and duration of current drug rehabilitation were the influencing factors. Conclusion The life quality of drug users under two drug rehabilitation modes was influenced by different factors in Wenzhou. Targeted health service measures should be taken to improve the life quality of drug users.
