Abstract:
Objective To understand the problems existing in cases reporting of hepatitis C in medical facilities in China,and provide evidence to improve the quality of data.Methods The medical facilities at or above the county level which reported more hepatitis C cases from 2013 to 2015 were selected,and the data quality of related cases during the first quarter of a year were checked.Results From 2013 to 2015,the reporting rates of anti-HCV positive cases were 44.3%,55.5% and 58.3%,respectively.The reporting rates of HCV-RNA positive cases were 46.8%,52.1% and 65.6%,respectively.The rates of correct diagnosis was 25.4%,44.6% and 44.0%,respectively.The rates of correct acute or chronic classification were 19.2%,38.1% and 53.9%,respectively.Both the reporting rates and correct classification rate of hepatitis C were low but increased year by year.Conclusion Problems existed in the reporting of hepatitis C cases in China.It is suggested to improve and revise hepatitis C diagnosed criteria and strengthen medical staff training in order to improve the quality of hepatitis C case reporting.
