A Study on the Etiological Diagnosis and the Factors of Transmission of Hepatitis Type B

In order to know the epidemielogical status of hepatitis Type B infection in patients suffering from viral hepatitis in Zhengzhou Railway district,an epidemiological investigation was carried out. 460 cases of patients suffering from viral hepatitis were investigated in Zhengzhou Railway Central Hospital infectious wards from July 1991 to June 1992 by RIA、ELISA、Dig HBV - DNA probe and PCR. The results indicated that 289 cases were infected with HBV in 460 cases. Of them,191 cases were males and 98 cases were females,the ratio was 1.95:1.Those who had blood transtusion or injection history were 161 cases,the rate was 55.71%.Urine Sam-ples of 62 HB Patients were tested random by using Dig HBV-DNAprobe.the positive rate was 16.13%.
