Abstract

The disease burden of the residents in Suzhou and in China was analyzed with a new index-Disability Adjusted Life Year(DALY).The evolution characteristice of disease pattern based on the national data are believed as:the infectiouns diseases decreased relatively and non infectious diseases increased rpidly.This phenomenon was more obvious with the data of Suzhou.It indicated that both of the diseases should be strengthened to control,and some suggestions of preventive policy a-gainst key diseases were raised.
