Application of Capture-Mark-Recapture Method in Diseases Surveillance

Underreport of cases in disease surveillance was inevitable and often lead to obtain inc- curacy data. In order to decrease underreport cases , capture-mark-recapture method was used in WHO multinational project for Ⅰtype diabetes surveillance. Review the quality control techniques in disease surveillance was introduced in this paper. By collecting 2 sources cases (capture - mark - recapture) .we can employ the approches to evaluate or correct the difference of rates and the degree of under- ascertainment,and calculate the corrected estimate,to achieve a standardized rate,and make it possible to compare these rates anmony nations and regions.
