A Study on the Children Chlamydia  Pneumoriiae Infection in Beijing

In order to knaw the Children Chlainydia Pneumoniae Infection in Beijing, a serological study was carried out in 97 hospitalized Children with pneumonia．(214 years old) and 958 same age healthy ehildren from November 1994 to November 1995.The study WaS con-ducted by using Micro-Immnno-Fluoreeein Method．The result indicated that the serum positive rates were 13.8％in 2～6 years of age，17.9％in 7～9 years of age 24.9％in 10～12 years of age and the highest 38.7％in 13～14 years of age in healthy childrenPositive rates were in creased with age．No significant difference of positive rates Was found in sex. The serum positive rates werel5.7％in 2～6 years of age and 30.1％in 7～14 years ofage in 97 hospitalized Chfl-dren with pneumonia．No significant differene of positive rates between healthy children and pa-tients with pneumonia．7 hospitalized children with pneumonia were serolcgically diagnosed aschlamydia infection in 97 patients with pneumonia．The prevalence rate of chlamydia WaS 7.2％ in 97 hospRalized patients．The highest WaS in the 9～12 age group．Clinical manifestation of pneumonia caused by chiamydia and laboratory features were observed as well.
