A Surveillance Report on Women Toxoplasma in Ningbo city 1994

In order to promot the implementation of the Strategy of bearing and rearing better chil-dren and decreasing the risk factors of Pregnant women，a toxoplasma surveillance in womenbefore marriage was conducted in selected points of three districts in Ningbo City in 1994．3130 samples of serum were collected．In which，219 samples were positive of toxoplasma de-tected by using ELISA．The total infestious rate in childbearing women was 7.0％．The posi-tive rates of CAg，lgM and IgG antibodies were 2.14％，0.45％and 4.98％respectively．31.05％women in the positives were infected recently．There were no signlfleant difference a-mong areas,seasons and populations．Toxoplasma was isolated from CAg positive samples．
