Evaluation on Acute FIaccid Paralysis(AFP)Surveillance System in Jiangsu Province 1991～1995

AFP-surveillance System has put into use for 5 years since it was established in1991.During the previous 5 years(1991～1995)．the sensitivity and punotuality of surveillance have been imporoved gradually by years．213 cases of AFP were reported via the system in Jiang-su Province．The reported case5 were increased 49.5％when compared with 1991．The com-firmed cases were declined from 67(1991)to 5(1995)．The incidence rate of non-polio AFP inage group15 years was increased from 0.21 case per 10sup5/sup(1991)to 1.61 cases per 10sup5/sup(1995) achieving the target rate．In 1995，96％AFP cases had investigated in 48 hours；specimens collec-tion were avilable for 70％；visiting rate was 83.1％within 75 days；51％had sent stool speci-mens to Jiangsu Provincial Andepidemlc Station．All these aspects were improved greatly com-pared with the year 1991，part of them had approached or achieved the surveillance target of1995．
