An Investigational Analysis on Common Geriatric Diseases in Retired Cadres of Nanjing Military Region

retired cardres over 60 age were investigated by random cluster sampling. The results showed that the major geriatric diseases in elder retired cadres were the circulatory,digestive and respiratory systems diseases. The persentage were 33.6,21.0 and 12.6 respeetively. The coronary arteria heart diseases(49.2%) occupied the first place in the leading ten diseases. Hypertension occupied the 2nd place (35.6%) and the chronic bronchitis and chronic obstructive pnemonectasis were in the third place. The authors suggested that the related medical authority should give the priority to the above noninfevtyve chronic dis-eases.
