Investigation on the underreporting of Disease Surveillance in Henan Province

In order to correct the data from disease surveillance,underreporting investigation on the birth,death and infectious diseases was carried out in the surveillance spotes of Henan by random sampling.The total rate was in the range from 19.18 to 39.69percent and the average rate was about 30 percent.The rates in rural areas were higher than that in urban areas .The underreporting rate in hospitals was 18.03 percent,of which it was remarkablely higher in rural areas than in urban areas(X2=67.89 P<0.01).The rate of the infectious diseases in residents was 60.39 percent and there was no difference between rural and urban areas.
