  • strains of Vibrio Cholerae(VC) including 352 strains of O139 were studied by using ctx A, Zot,Ace, RSI,st and iga gene probes.It was showed that 98% strains of VC O139 contained ctx A gene. Using the 16SrRNA gene distriction map analysis ,it was found that there were two kinds of gene types in the strains of VC O139 isolated from China. The authorssuggested that the ctx A and 16SrRNA genes could be used as the indicators of the molecular epidemiological characteristics of Vibrio choleraeO139
