Investigation on the Implement Situation of the WB-load Tuberculosis Control Project in Hubei Province, 1992～1997

By the end of 1997, a total number of TB suspects examined was 330050. A total of 84829 smear positive cases and 52262 new smear positive cases were registered. The smear positive registration rate and new positive cases registration rate appeared an increased tendency year after year. In 1997, the smear positive registration rate and new positive cases registration rate were 42.8 per 100 000 and 28.7 per 100 000 respectively. The average cure rate of new smear positive cases and retreatment patients were 97.4% and 89.6% respectively, it was rearched to the standard of the project. The urgent problem to be solved was to improve the case finding registration rate and to descend the ratio of retreated cases.
