An Incidence Investigation on Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Army 1996

  • More than 110 thousand persons in army were investigated. The results indicated that the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in army was 120.82 per 100,000 population. The incidence of different official rank were 117.91 (cadre)、124.43 (soldier) and 55.83 (worker) per 100,000 population respectively. Among those definitely diagnosed cases, most were type Ⅱ and type Ⅴ. 36.67 percent of all cases were underreporting. The results also showed that the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis of army was in serious situation. The authors proposed that consulting with DOTS strategy, Tuberculosis Control Program of Army Should be worked out as soon as possible, and the notification rate should be improved firstly.
