Study on Strategy with Low-and Non-Response to HBV Vaccine in Infants

  • In order to explore the best boaster strategy for children with low-and non-response to HBV vaccine, a randomized controlled trial for evaluation of simple HBV vaccine (30μg×3) and HBV vaccine (30μg×3) combined with Mycobacteria Phlei Polysaccharides (MPS, MPS-A 20μg/ml×15, MPS-B 2μg/ml×15) was conducted in 59 infants of HBsAg positive mothers. The infants with low-and non-response were tested for HBV-DNA using PCR, only 3.8% were infected with HBV, most of the infants were free of HBV infecion. Therefore, the booster vaccination with the HB vaccine and MPS was necessary, especially for children of HBsAg positive mothers.
