251 STD cases were found by surveillance examination of 49496 persons who entered or left Quanzhou city from 1994 to 1997.The serological tests were carried out in 93 spouses of the infected cases.46 of them were infected with STD,2 of them were infected with HIV.The results showed that the unclean sexual intercourse was the main transmissible route.
