A Study on the Incidence of Insulin Dependent Diabetes Millitus (IDDM) in Children in Qiqihar City 1989～1995

The cases of IDDM were investigated using epidemiological method in children under 15 years old in Qiqihar city 1989～1995.The results showed that the crude average annual incidence rate was 0.77/100000,the ascertainmentcorrected incidence rate was 0.611/100000,the ratio of male to female was 1∶1.05.The incidence rate in urban area was 1.109/100000,a little higher than that in rural area0.619/100000.The highest incidence rate was found in the children group from 10-14 years old.The incidence of IDDM in chil-dren in that city did not have the regular trend and most of them were found in autumn and winter.
