A Report of Co effects of Prostituting and Drug Use on STDs' Epidemiology in Prostitutes

  • In order to understand the prevalence and epidemiological characteristics of STDs, a study was conducted in prostitutes who also were drug users. The data showed that 84.4% of the prostitute drug users was the local residents and in the age group of 17~28;most of them were waitresses with lower education level.The way to use drug was mainly by smoke and venus injection (78.1%).44.0% and a history of syringe co-use and multiple sex partners.65.6% did not used condom. 13 cases of latent syphilis and 8 cases of gonorrus and guery were confirmed by serum test.HIV - Ab positive case was found. The data also showed that serum test wes important in finding latent syphilis cases.
