A Study on the Post Vaccination and AntibodyResponses and Equine AntiRabies ImmuneGlobulin in Ⅲ WHO Bitten Patients

To evaluate the immumological effect and safety of combined Purified Vero Rabies Vaccine and Equine AntiRabies Immune Globulin,171 bitten human cases in WHO category Ⅲ were treated.The results indicated that the rate of systemic reaction was 7.60%,and the rates of the local reaction of PVRV and ERIG were 1.30% and 10.52% respectively.51 patient blood samples were detected by RFFIT before and after immunisation,the positive rates on day 0,7,14 and 28 were 0%、41.18%、100% and 100% respectvely;GMT were 0.03、0.38、118.83 and 96.29IU respectively.The data showed that there were rare and mild side reaction of the combined immunization,the antibody appeared rapidly post immunization and reached peak on day 14 in the Ⅲ bitten patients.
