Prospective Study On Incidence Rate Of Hepatitis A in A Unit of PLA

In order to provide a scientific basis for preventing hepatitis in military troops, an epidemiological study on incidence rate and epidemiological characteristics of hepatis was carried out. Using cluster sampling to collect related data and sera; hepatitis infectious rate and serotyping were carried out by ELISA. The incidence rate of hepatitis was 0.90‰ from 1993 to 1998 ,the annual incidence rate was changed from 0.65‰ to 1.01‰, the incidence rate of hepatitis A was 0.17‰, and decreased annually from 0.6‰(1993) to 0.05‰(1998),the composed ratio of hepatitis A decreased from 36.36%(1993) to 7.96% (1998).In hepatitis cases, the incidence rate of hepatitis of cadres(1.63‰) were higher than that of soldiers(0.90‰),but the incidence rate of hepatitis A of soldiers(0.22‰) was higher than that of cadres(0.118‰),the prevalence type was sporadic,the cases occurred from February to April occupied 50%.of the total number.The annnual actual incidence rate of hepatitis was much higher than the reported incidence rate.
