A Surveillance data of bacillary dysentry in Xinjiang during a period of 48 years was analyzed. The general epidemic rule and types of bacterial groups, especially a seriours epidemic of an A1 related bacillary dysentry were described.The cauce,characteristics and the molecular biology of the pathogenic bacteria were dircussed as well.
